The Whole Hog

It’ll be BBQ to-go as this year’sThe Whole Hog fundraiser moves to a drive-through format from 12-3 p.m. October 10 at Keepa’s Park, 1111 Country Club Road, in Sunland Park, N.M.

Normally, the outdoor fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Coalition for El Pasois held in Keepa’s Park. Due to social distancing restrictions caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic, the fifth annual Whole Hog will be staged as a drive-through at the same location, with BBQ to go, live music, raffle prizes, and a cornhole toss.

Tickets are $100, on sale at thewholehogfundraiser.com.

The cornhole toss will be a socially distanced, individual throw. One throw is $25 and comes with your own bag and a raffle ticket. For $100, you get five tosses, a set of cornhole bags, and five raffle tickets. Every toss in the hole wins four additional raffle tickets.

Raffle prizes include a one-week stay in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado; a 70” Vizio flat screen TV; a Gateway 55-gallon drum smoker; a Backwoods Chubby vertical charcoal smoker; a Kamado Joe Jr. ceramic grill; and a Camp Chef smoke vault propane gas smoker.

Proceeds from The Whole Hog go to Every Little Blessing, a preschool for children with Down syndrome and learning disabilities, and other programs of the Down Syndrome Coalition for El Paso. Down Syndrome Coalition for El Paso is a supporting organization of the El Paso Community Foundation.
