"We All Have A Song That Somehow Stamped Our Lives." - Kenny Chesney

"We all have a song that somehow stamped our lives, takes us to anther place and time." Kenny Chesney sings that line in "I Go Back" and every time he does, I'm transported back to moments in MY LIFE that will always be marked by songs that even years later, can still take me right back to THAT moment in THAT time.

I hear "I'll Never fall In Love Again" from Dionne Warwick and I can picture my then 5 year old sister Debbie, singing along with her first record player.

I hear "Magic Man" from Heart and I am right back at my first boy-girl party. I was in 7th grade but lots of the kids were a few years older and they were all laughing about spiking the punch in this basement party in a home where the parents were out of town. We were living life dangerously! lol

I hear "Working My Way back to You" from the Spinners and I am right back in the studio at Q-103 on Kent Island in Grasonville , Maryland, my very first radio station, first on-air shift EVER and scared to death to open the microphone on a real live station where people could hear me! (unlike the college station I had broken in on that only broadcast to the cafeteria on campus where no one but the cashier could even listen.)

I hear "Waiting for a Girl Like You" from Foreigner and I'm at my senior prom.

I hear Sara Evans sing, "I Could Not Ask for More" and I'm holding my brand new wife Cheryl at our wedding for the first dance.

When "I Hope You Dance" from Lee Ann Womack plays I am back at my daughter Steph's 5 year old ballet dance recital when she was more focused on her pop-pop taking pictures of her then keeping up with her dance troup.

So many country songs are immediate time travel for me. "Prayin' For Daylight" and I'm in the studio with Gary, Jay and Joe Don listening to Rascal Flatts new album they had just recorded. It was so FRESH and different for Country music in 1999.

Since then there have literally be at least another 100 moments that songs take me to and I'd bet there are ones that do the very same thing for you!

I'd LOVE to know WHAT are the ones "That Somehow Stamped YOUR Life"???? Tell me YOURS here!

What take you back to a great night, your first concert, your wedding, a trip, a turbulent time or a life time high light. Music has a way of playing a big part and I want to always be able to share that soundtrack with you!

Time to share, meantime I need a box of Kleenex tissues clicking on the bottons below!
