The inaugural iHeartRadio Music Awards descended upon Tinseltown on May 1, and music’s biggest and brightest made roll call.
Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan represented country at the premiere music event, while other stars like Rihanna, Pharrell and even recent Oscar winner Jared Leto also took the spotlight.
With two nominations for Best Country Song, Blake bested Luke in the only country category, pulling the win for “Boys ‘Round Here.”
“I didn’t really think about what would happen if I actually did win one of these things,” Blake said in his acceptance speech. “Thank you to the fans. Thank you to country radio. I’m glad I had two nominations so I could actually beat Luke for once in my whole life.”
Blake and Luke also took the stage to perform “Doin’ What She Likes” and “That’s My Kind of Night,” respectively.
Luke made headlines during the show for his reported "unimpressed face" during pop singer Ariana Grande's performance.
