To be totally honest, I didn't notice that anything out of the ordinary was going on with Gary's singing on the ACM Awards Sunday night. I've heard them live and right in front of me for over 14 years. I'll never forget the first time was in the recording studio in Nashville when they were introducing 'Praying for Daylight'.
They have always been amazing performers. So when everything was pitch perfect during a "smooth performance" I didn't think twice. I didn't see any lips out of synch. Call me clueless , maybe I was too busy looking at my wife while we compared notes on who we each thought was going to win the Entertainer award.
Well last night, Rascal Flatts decided to get ahead of the controversy and come clean.
Here's a clip of the performance. See if you can tell!
Well there is no doubt Gary and the guys can perform every note of their studio work. Just listen to them sing it live on the stage of the Mother Church of Country Music. Awesome harmonies.
I say accept the apology and move on. What do you say?
