While looking at KHEY.com for articles to talk to you about on the radio, I saw the article for Dolly Parton's new donuts at Krispy Kreme. I immediately called the local east side Krispy Kreme to ask if they had them and the very helpful Danny said yes and explained to me how to order via phone, app or in-person. I ordered an assorted box for pick up but ended up walking inside when I arrived because I added a few more DP donuts for co-workers and family. I hadn't been inside Krispy Kreme in forever and it smelled like heaven. Shoutout to the manager for great customer service and the 2 youngins' who helped take my picture with the donut bags.
I picked up a Dolly Dozen which has 2 flavors of each as well as 4 additional regular glazed donuts. The 4 flavors are the Dolly Dazzler, Peachy Keen Cobbler, Banana Puddin' and Chocolate Creme Pie, (go to khey.com to see the full description of the flavors). I had my 2 daughters and husband try them each and here our favorites:
18 year old: Chocolate Creme Pie, (tastes like oreo)
9 year old: Dolly Dazzler, (tastes like strawberry, it's pink, and had an edible butterfly on it)
Husband: Banana Puddin' (tastes like banana pudding with wafers)
And my favorite?! (drumroll...): The Peachy Keen Cobbler. The gooey peachy filling and graham cracker topping is what did it for me.
