State GOP Decides On Virtual Convention After Court Defeat

The Republican Party of Texas is moving ahead with an online state convention after its attempts to hold a live event met defeat. After the city of Houston canceled the convention last week because of the pandemic, the GOP appealed to the state Supreme Court. The court ruled against the party's plan to hold the event at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. The party's executive committee voted Monday evening to hold an online convention.
