Texas Law Prohibiting Social Media Bans For Political Posts Reinstated

The Texas law prohibiting social media bans for political posts was reinstated on Wednesday. A federal appeals court ruled the law could go back in effect while a lawsuit against it proceeds in a lower court. The judge in the case issued a block of the law last December. NetChoice, one of the groups that filed the lawsuit, said they plan to appeal the ruling. The lawsuit claims the State of Texas cannot force privately-owned platforms to allow content that violates their policies.
