Here is a list of some events going on and around El Paso for the 4th of July Independence day celebrations:
- Wet and Wild Waterworld-Park open 10am to 8pm, fireworks will begin at 9pm in the parking lot
- Ascarate Park - El Pasoans are invited to enjoy fireworks show and activities, starting at noon. Gates will close to traffic at 8 p.m. for pedestrian safety during the fireworks. A fireworks display will take place on the west side of the lake at 9:20 pm
- Pop Goes the Fort at Biggs Field on Fort Bliss - featuring a hot dog eating contest with champion Joey Chestnut against soldiers. Event starts at 3:30, fireworks begin at 8:30pm
- Western Playland-Park open to the public 4pm-10pm, fireworks begin at 9pm
- After the El Paso Chihuahua's game vs the Las Vegas Aviators at Southwest University Park. game starts at 6:30, gates open at 5:30. Free red, white and blue light up batons while supplies last
- Speaking Rock Entertainment Center - free concert featuring Garth Brooks Tribute Band and Beyonce Tribue Band fireworks after
- Shoppes at Solana (old Sunland Park Mall) 4th of July Market and Fireworks Show-5pm-9pm, fireworks start at 9pm
- Electric Light Parade in Las Cruces July 3rd at 9pm at Apodaca Park, 801 Madrid in Las Cruces
- Rotary Club Independence Day Parade- Parade starts July 4th at 9am at Shadow Mountain and Mesa Streets in west El Paso
- El Paso Del Norte Lions Club 4th of July East Side People’s Parade: 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4, intersection of Montwood and Lee Treviño drives
- City of Anthony Fourth of July Parade: 9-11 a.m. Thursday, July 4, City Municipal Complex, 820 Highway 478
- Up and Running 4th of July 5k-July 4th starts 7:04am (last day to register July 3rd by 7pm)
- July 4th Party at La Vina Winery-July 4th 12pm-7pm
