The other day at a production team work lunch, Mike Dee invited us to be on our sister station for the Power 102 morning show to "meet the street team." Street team because you'll see us out and about at remotes at various businesses or events, (someone has to set up the canopy and such). Diego got there super early, I was there second, followed by Chloe then Mirthy and Laura. We were told to send Mike Dee and Patti 3 topics and they would choose one to discuss with us, however we didn't find out which topic they chose until we were at the mic! Even for someone like me who's on the radio it was nerve wracking.
Check out Mike Dee's recording studio below.
Diego went first. He talked about getting ghosted which then morphed into a conversation about worst pick up lines like "send pics" or "do you like bad boys/ girls?" The DM I hate the most is "hey".... that's it, just "hey." Like TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT, (Notebook movie style).
Mirthy recently got engaged so she talked about having a destination wedding or a local wedding, (in El Paso or Juarez). I chimed in about how I had a destination wedding partly because we did not want a lot of people at our wedding, only the people that had a big impact on our relationship. She was also worried about his bachelor party. Would you prefer a destination or home wedding and why?
Chloe talked about when early is too early to decorate for Halloween. When do you think is the right time to decorate for Halloween? Personally I would have decorated yesterday, I love Halloween or in this case, Summerween!
I talked about a personal issue with my husband involving a hotel room, a phone number, a gala, and a crusty tattoo certificate lol.
Laura talked about dating icks, and how she was on a date with a guy who was texting another girl while they were on a date. There was reflective glass behind him so she could SEE him making plans to hang out with another girl after their date! Would you have ended the date? I would have.
We had a lot of fun, thank you again to Patti and Mike Dee for hosting us and the coffee and snacks. It was a good time and I hope to be back!
