There are so many things to love about Easter, especially the fun stuff. I am not Catholic but my husband is and we have always done the traditional Easter baskets for the kids, dressing up and going to visit family, doing the egg hunt, etc. But there are things that annoy me to no end about this holiday in particular, and they are:
1- Confetti eggs. OMG I CAN NOT STAND THESE THINGS! I have family that loves to have a time to do these, usually right after the egg hunt, and even though I hide inside, the confetti can be found for months after in the car and tracked into the house. This is one popular Easter tradition I can definitely do WITHOUT.
2-Easter grass in the baskets. More mess, even though I love the way it looks and love hiding Easter treats and goodies in it. I started using the mini accordion looking grass which is a little easier to pick up, but still so annoying.
3-Peeps. Now, this is a love/hate relationship. I LOVE looking at Peeps and receiving Peeps, and I BETTER receive my Peeps, (in case my husband is reading this), but I wish they would taste better. They stay in our kitchen candy drawer, (yes we have a literal junk drawer), til they harden then that's it. Wasted money but they look so cute and I need them....Maybe I should try making them into colorful Smores.
4-Plastic eggs that open up when you're rushing to hide the eggs for the egg hunt. It's like getting your socks wet or having an eyelash in your eye.
5-The leftover waste , including the baskets and leftover eggs. Can you tell I'm a little OCD when it comes to tidiness?
